Answer by God answers all questions
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Question by huvgj: ENGLISH LAND LAW: Are Legal Easements Overriding Interests?
M.P. Thompson, Modern Land Law:
“Under the Land Registration Act 2002, only legal easements will override a registered dispoistion (Land Registration Act, Sched. 1, para. 3; and Sched. 3, para 3)…… ”

Land Registry Practice Guide 62 (March 2005):
“An easement (legal or equitable) expressly granted on or after 13 October 2003 over registered servient land cannot be an overriding interest”…..(there is no reference for this in this practice guide however).

So is it just me, or is this contradicting? Are they, or are they not overriding interests? If they are, what is the reference for this?

Thankyou, very confused!

You’ve quoted only secondary sources. It seems the law changed on 13 Oct. 2003. You should consult the primary source; the statute that changed the law.

Question by Christina Lang: Why do companys choose to form as a corportation?
Why do company’s choose to form as a corportation, and what are the steps required to become a corporation? What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of the corporate form of doing business?

Best answer:

Answer by Mike
Unlimited life, pooling of resources from anonymous investors and limited liability.

Forming a corporation depends on what kind. Simple LLCs can be formed for under $ 250 by filling out of Secretary of State form most places. Forming a Bank Holding Company requires multiple levels of licensing and millions in initial capital. Each legal classification of corporation has substantially different requirements for formation, and in the USA there are over 40 legal forms of incorporation.

Chief disadvantage is double taxation for C type (public stock) corporations. Also unrelated business income tax can complicate issues as well as corporations have higher baseline maintenance costs than do pass-through entities.

Question by happy-go-lucky: the time limit for th lemon law?
have a van for thirty one days bought from a dealership am i still covered under ohio lemon law head gaskets and electical went out

Best answer:

Answer by 3rd eye
Well, I am not a lawyer, and this is not legal advice. As with most laws you only really find out when you end up in court and get a decision.

There are some time limits, for example if the car is more than 12 months old I think you are not covered.

Read up on a few websites, such as the one below which will help you decide if its worth taking legal advice. It is certainly worth talking to the dealership as even if you are not covered they may still help.

What do you think? Answer below!

Question by TK: Drug induced Temporary Insanity criminal defense?
I was tripping on Psylocybin, and I started having serious delusions. I thought I was the reincarnation of Jesus Christ and was going to save the world. The emotions were too strong for me and no one seemed to understand so I started getting aggressive. The police were called and they came and tried to calm me down, but my thought process told me they were going to kill me. I was so scared and didn’t know what to do, so I charged at the police officer and we struggled for a while and I got tazed twice, and I was told by a witness that I punched one of the 4 cops in the face. I am now being charged with battery of an officer. I am not a violent person and have never been in a fight in my entire life. Are they any lawyers out there with experience on any cases like this who might be able to tell me if I’d have any luck pleading not guilty because of temporary insanity? I have court next week

Best answer:

Answer by Quizzard
You just told us what happened. If you were truly suffering from temporary insanity, you would not have been able to do so.

Fail

Just so you know, insanity defenses almost never succeed. They are also very expensive, hiring expert witnesses, etc. You will also spend a long time in prison or a mental facility waiting until you have been evaluated. Lots of lawyers will be willing to take such a case, provided you have the money to pay for it.

Protecting the right to education for people with disabilities, Ukraine
legal law help

"Singing has been my dream since I was a child," says Svitlana Shpakovska who attended one of the country’s leading vocal training universities until she ended up in a wheelchair.

She was expelled from her university because she had a physical disability.

She met with Tatiana Barantsova, director of the Luhansk Association for Young People with Disabilities.

"We gave her legal advice, and also provided psychological counseling," said Ms. Barantsova. "In the end, the university reversed its decision, and now she’s back at school."

Svitlana also received advice on transportation in the capital, mentor opportunities and accommodation in student dormitories – all covered in the country’s law on social security for people with disabilities.

In addition to Svitlana, 120 other people with disabilities received advice from the association to help ensure their right to education.
